Parma Basket
BC Parma (russian: БК Парма), also known as Parma Basket, is a professional basketball team that is based in Perm, Russia. It plays in the VTB United League, the highest level of basketball in Russia. The club's full name is Parma Basket Perm. The name is unrelated with the Italian city of Parma. History BC Parma was established in 2012. In 2016, Parma Basket won the Russian Cup title, by beating Zenit Saint Petersburg in the Russian Cup Final. In the 2016–17 season, Parma joined the VTB United League, the country's first tier league. To meet the arena requirements of the league, Parma moved to the Universal Sports Palace Molot. In its first United League season the club finished last in the regular season with just one win. In 2020, Parma made its debut in the main stage of a European competition as the team played in the 2020–21 FIBA Europe Cup. VTB United League
VTB United League (russian: Единая Лига ВТБ) is an international professional men's club basketball list of basketball leagues, league that was founded in 2008. It is made up of mostly Russian clubs, along with one each from Belarus and Kazakhstan. Since VTB United League 2013–14, 2013, it is the Russian basketball league system, first tier of Russian professional club basketball. Therefore, the highest placed Russian team in the league is also named list of Russian basketball champions, Russian national champions. The league is sponsored by Russian state-owned VTB Bank. FIBA Europe Cup
The FIBA Europe Cup (FEC) is an annual professional club basketball competition organised by FIBA for eligible European clubs. It is FIBA's European-wide second level. Clubs mainly qualify for the competition based on their performance in national leagues and cup competitions, although this is not the sole deciding factor. The league was founded in 2015 as a replacement of the FIBA EuroChallenge. History On June 30, 2015, FIBA announced it would start a new league to compete with Euroleague Basketball's EuroCup. Kazys Maksvytis (born 15 June 1977) is a Lithuanian professional basketball coach who is currently the head coach for Lithuania men's national basketball team and Žalgiris Kaunas.
