Parlad Singh Sawhney (born 15 March 1950) is an Indian politician and 5th term member of the Delhi Legislative Assembly belonging to Aam Aadmi Party. Political career Parlad Singh Sawhney contested first municipal corporation election in 1977 from Mori Gate ward and lost by 100 votes. In 1983 he won municipal election from same Municipal ward & was made chairman Civil Lines zone from 1983 to 1990 and then repeatedly contested the Chandni Chowk Vidhan Sabha Constituency since 1998 till 2015. Alka Lamba
Alka Lamba (born 21 September 1975) is an Indian politician serving for the Indian National Congress. After serving the Indian National Congress in various capacities for more than 20 years, she quit to join the Aam Aadmi Party on 26 December 2014. In February 2015, Lamba was elected to the Delhi Legislative Assembly from Chandni Chowk. She quit AAP in September 2019 citing disrespect for her within the party. On 6 September 2019, she formally returned to the Congress party. She was however disqualified from the Delhi assembly by Delhi speaker for violating the rules for party change over a gesture of strong warning to tainted turncoats. The Aam Aadmi Party (; AAP) is a political party in India, as one of the national political parties. The AAP was founded in November 2012 by Arvind Kejriwal and his then-companions following the 2011 Indian anti-corruption movement, popularly known as Anna Andolan.
