Parkside Media is a diversified media organization involved in print, television and online publishing as well as advertising, event management and public relations, among other client services. Magazines It is one of the country’s largest independent magazine publishers. Its offices are in Eden Terrace, Auckland. Owner Greg Vincent established the company in 1990 when he founded New Zealand Classic Car magazine. The company went on to launch two more monthly motoring titles, NZ Performance Car in 1996 and NZV8 in 2005, which have proven durable with a loyal readership. Parkside launched bi-monthly photography magazine D-Photo in 2004 and acquired another bi-monthtly, The Shed magazine, in 2017. It launched automotive trade magazine Auto Channel in 2018. Import All-Stars is an import (i.e. Japanese cars) drag racing event organised by Parkside Media and NZ Performance Car magazine. First held in 2007, it was rerun on 29 March 2008. Both events have been held at Fram Autolite Dragway, Meremere. The drawcard for 2008's event was the GAS Motorsport Pro RWD Toyota Celica vs the Rayglass Toyota Celica Pro Stock. Both cars are capable of six-second passes on the drag strip. This match was in jeopardy when the GAS Motorsport Celica crashed at Willowbank Raceway Willowbank Raceway is a drag racing facility located off the Cunningham Highway, Willowbank, City of Ipswich, Queensland, Australia. Super Lap
Super Lap is a time attack motorsport event. Super Lap events are being held in Australia and New Zealand. Australia The inaugural Superlap Australia event was held at the Oran Park Raceway in July 2008. It has since become an annual event attracting the fastest circuit cars in the country and even some overseas guests. NZ Drift Series
The NZ Drift Series was a five-round motorsport series organised by Parkside Media, publisher of NZ Performance Car magazine. Competing against D1NZ it achieved greater success because of NZ Performance Car and NZ Performance Car TV's marketing power. The inaugural season was in 2007 and consisted of two rounds at Manfeild Autocourse and Pukekohe Park Raceway. The 2008 season expanded the number of rounds to five and the number of tracks to four, including Taupo Motorsport Park, and a round in the South Island at Powerbuilt Tools International Raceway, Ruapuna. The 2009 season continued with five rounds, including the new Hampton Downs Raceway. The New Zealand Touring Cars Championship (currently known as the Racer Products V8s for commercial reasons) is a New Zealand-based motorsport category of touring car racing. Andy Booth (motorsport)
Andy Booth (born 2 June 1974) is a New Zealand racing driver. A relatively late starter in motorsport, Booth never raced karts, and only competed in a handful of Formula Ford events in New Zealand before heading to the UK where he spent several years successfully campaigning in the Slick 50 Formula Ford Championship, and later in the Formula Palmer Audi series. He has also competed in Indy Lights in the US and Formula Holden in Australia. Booth won the Tasman Series ( Formula Holden) in 2000, driving for the NRC International team, also taking the New Zealand Grand Prix and Denny Hulme Memorial Trophy in the same year.
