Park Joo-sun
Park Joo-sun (Korean: 박주선, born 23 July 1949) is a South Korean politician in Bareunmirae Party who was the president of the party along with Yoo Seong-min, and the Second Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly. Biography Born at Boseong County, South Jeolla Province. Before he entered to politics, he worked as a prosecutor. Political life His political career was started by ex-president Kim Dae-jung, in 1998. He was willing to run as one of the parliament members of Millennium Democratic Party in 2000, however, failed at the primary, so he ran as independent and finally won. In 2016, he joined for newly-formed People's Party and also won at the new parliamentary election. As People's Party became the 3rd party, he was elected as the Second Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, whereas Shim Jae-chul as the First. Bareunmirae Party
The Bareunmirae Party (), also known as the Bareun Mirae Party and Bareun Future Party, was a South Korean liberal-conservative political party. It was founded in 2018 by merger of the centrist liberal People's Party and the conservative Bareun Party. History Founding In January 2018, leaders of the party's predecessors announced their plan to merge, in an effort to form a centrist bloc and consolidate their parliamentary standings before local elections. The merger was noted to be a bold political experiment, as People's Party is rooted in the Jeolla Provinces, while Bareun Party is rooted in the Gyeongsang Provinces. Shim Jae-chul ( ko, 심재철; Hanja: 沈在哲 RR: ''Sim Jae-cheol''; born 18 January 1958) is a South Korean journalist and politician. He is a current member of the National Assembly and the Floor Leader of the United Future Party. Early life and career He was born in Gwangju. He became an activist during Gwangju Uprising in 1980. He graduated Seoul University department of English education. He later worked as a journalist of MBC in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Ahn Cheol-soo ( ; born 26 February 1962) is a South Korean politician, medical doctor, businessperson, and software entrepreneur. He currently serves as a member of the National Assembly as part of the conservative People Power Party. The Democratic Party (; DP) was a political party in South Korea. Formerly named Millennium Democratic Party (; MDP), it was renamed in May 6, 2005. After its dissolution, its members joined the Uri Party or the successor Democratic Party. Yoo Seong-min (, born 7 January 1958), also known as Yoo Seung-min, is a South Korean economist and politician. Yoo is former a member of the Korean Parliament and was the Bareun Party's presidential nominee in the 2017 South Korean presidential election. He is the son of late Daegu court chief, attorney and Member of Parliament, Yoo Soo-ho for Junggu of Daegu. Early life Yoo was born in Daegu, and was the youngest child. His father was a farmer, but then became a judge and had been in politics for 8 years between 1985 and 1993. Yoo obtained his B.A. in Economics from Seoul National University in 1982, and his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1987. Kim Dae-jung (; ; 6 January 192418 August 2009), was a South Korea, South Korean politician and activist who served as the eighth president of South Korea from 1998 to 2003.
