Park Hee-soo
Park Hee-soo (Hangul: 박희수, Hanja: 朴熙洙; born July 13, 1983 in Daejeon) is a South Korean baseball coach who plays for the Samsung Lions in the Korea Baseball Organization. He bats right-handed and throws left-handed as relief pitcher. Amateur career While attending Daejeon High School, Park was selected for the South Korean national baseball team to compete at the 2001 Asian Junior Baseball Championship hosted by Taiwan. After graduation, Park was drafted by the SK Wyverns in in the 2nd round and as the 43rd pick overall, but decided to play college baseball at Dongguk University. Notable international careers Professional career After graduation from Dongguk University in 2006 Park started his pro season in the SK Wyverns. In his rookie season Park only appeared in five games as a left-handed specialist. After the 2006 season, Park entered Sangmu Baseball Team to serve two-year military service. Relief Pitcher
In baseball and softball, a relief pitcher or reliever is a pitcher who enters the game after the starting pitcher is removed because of fatigue (medical), fatigue, ineffectiveness, injury, or ejection (sports), ejection, or for other strategic reasons, such as inclement weather delays or pinch hitter substitutions. Relief pitchers are further divided informally into various roles, such as Closer (baseball), closers, setup men, middle relief pitchers, left-handed specialist, left/right-handed specialists, and long relievers. Whereas starting pitchers usually pitch count, throw so many pitches in a single game that they must rest several days before pitching in another, relief pitchers are expected to be more flexible and typically pitch in more games with a shorter time period between pitching appearances but with fewer innings pitched per appearance. Chong Tae-Hyon
Tae-Hyon Chong (Hangul: 정대현, Hanja: 鄭 大 炫; born November 10, 1978 in Gunsan, Jeollabuk-do, South Korea) is a retired South Korean underhand pitcher who played 17 years Korea Professional Baseball. He bats and throws right-handed. Chong was considered as a submarine pitcher with an unusual delivery. His primary pitches were a sinking fastball (sinker), usually sitting around 80 mph, and a curveball. Amateur career In 1999, as a junior at Kyung Hee University, Chong was selected as a member of the South Korea national baseball team for the 1999 Intercontinental Cup in Sydney. At the Intercontinental Cup, he was 1-1 with a 1.47 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 18.1 innings. In Korea's first game of the round-robin tournament against Cuba, Chong came on to pitch in relief and led his team to a 4-3 victory, which was South Korea's first victory over Cuba at international baseball competitions organized by the IBAF.
