Paris Pranaya
''Paris Pranaya'' () is a 2003 Indian Kannada-language romantic drama film directed and written by Nagathihalli Chandrashekar. The film stars newcomers Raghu Mukherjee and Minal Patil in the lead role whilst Rajesh, Tara and Sharath Lohitashwa feature in other prominent roles. The film was produced by 21st Century Lions Cinema banner. The film released on 18 April 2003 to generally positive reviews from critics. Extensively shot in many European locales such as Paris, Rome, Southern France and Spain, the film covers a scene of the annual "Vishwa Kannada Sammelana - 2002" held at Detroit. Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar is an Indian director, actor, screenwriter and a lyricist who predominantly works in Kannada Cinema. He made his film debut as a screenplay writer in ''Kadina Benki'' (1986) which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film and the Karnataka State Award. His directorial debut was ''Undu Hoda Kondu Hoda'' (1991) for which he won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Story. Srinivasan Doraiswamy, known by his stage name Srinivas, is an Indian playback singer who has sung over 2000 songs in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. Kalyani is a melakarta raga (parent musical scale) in the Carnatic music. It was called Kalyan but is now more popularly called Yaman (raga), Yaman in Hindustani Music. Krishna Nee Begane Baro is a famous classical song in Kannada language. It is composed in Raga Yamunakalyani by Vyasatirtha. The Tala is ''Misra chapu''. Composer and Singer Vyasaraya Tirtha or Vyasatirtha (1460–1539) (also known as Vyasaraja, Vyasaraayaru), a Haridasa, was born at Bannur in the Mysore District of Karnataka state. Mysore Ananthaswamy (ಮೈಸೂರು ಅನಂತಸ್ವಾಮಿ) was one of the pioneers of Kannada Bhavageethe in Karnataka. He was a very popular composer and singer of Kannada Sugama Sangeetha. He composed music for several poems and bhavageethe written by well-known Kannada poets like Kuvempu, K. S. Nissar Ahmed, N S Lakshminarayana Bhatta, etc., and popularized them throughout the globe. Some of his most famous songs include: Jogada Siri Belakinali, Jaya Bharata Jananiya Tanujate, O Nanna Chetana and Ede Tumbi Haadidenu. At a young age, Ananthaswamy played Mandolin that he purchased for 25 rupees. Later, he switched to Harmonium due to difficulty in fine tuning the Mandolin.
