Parham, Ontario
Parham, Ontario is located an hour north of Kingston, Ontario and two hours west of Canada's capital, Ottawa, Ontario. It is located in Central Frontenac Township, which includes other small towns such as Godfrey, Sharbot Lake, Tichborne, and Hartington. Parham's population is roughly 250, which classifies it as one of the smallest towns in the northern area. Parham has one general store, a post office and two churches, one Free Methodist church, and a United church. The fire hall is located beside the Parham Fair Grounds where the Parham Agricultural Fair is held annually. The fair involves 4-H members showing cattle and horses. There are also riding lawn mower races, livestock exhibitions and a palace with baking, crafts and produce. Kingston is a city in Ontario, Canada. It is located on the north-eastern end of Lake Ontario, at the beginning of the St. Lawrence River and at the mouth of the Cataraqui River (south end of the Rideau Canal). Godfrey, Ontario
Godfrey is a small community located about 40 minutes' drive time north of Kingston, Ontario, Canada on Hwy. 38. It is named for Chester H. Godfrey, one of the original settlers, who donated land on which the village was built. While there is currently no specific village, it can be described as the area of Highway 38 that extends between the villages of Verona and Parham, as well as that portion of Westport Road extending to the hamlet of Burridge. It also includes the former settlement of Cole Lake. (which possessed a separate rail station, known as Hinchinbrooke Station, and postal outlet up to the early part of the 20th century). Sharbot Lake, Ontario
Sharbot Lake is a suburban community and unincorporated area in the municipality of Central Frontenac, Frontenac County in Eastern Ontario, Canada. Named after the Sharbot family, who were local residents, it appeared in Lovell's Gazetteer in 1874. It is part of the Land O'Lakes Tourist Region and is located on the eponymous Sharbot Lake. Recreation The community is surrounded by many lakes that are used for outdoor recreation. The nearby Sharbot Lake Provincial Park has hiking trails, camp sites, and a boat launch into Sharbot Lake. RKY Camp
RKY Camp is a non-profit organization and summer camp, accredited by the Ontario Camping Association, in Parham, Ontario, Canada, north of Kingston, Ontario. Operating since 1929 on Eagle Lake, RKY Camp was founded by The Rotary Club, Kiwanis International, and the YMCA of Kingston, making up the abbreviation 'R.K.Y.'. RKY Camp ran as an all-boys camp until 1969. The camp provides outdoor education and camping opportunities to people of all backgrounds, including integrated summer camping for children and young adults with disabilities through a combined effort with Reach for the Rainbow.
