Parc Ahuntsic
Ahuntsic Park (french: Parc Ahuntsic) is an urban park in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is bordered by Henri Bourassa Boulevard to the north, Saint Hubert Street to the east, Lajeunesse Street to the west and Fleury Street to the south. It is located next to Terminus Henri-Bourassa. The park is large. There are paths for pedestrians and cyclists, a playground, a bowling green, a community garden, a skate park and an indoor skating rink. One of the features of the park is its hill, and pond. There is also a welcome centre near the park's entrance. Gary Carter Stadium The park is also home to a baseball field which serves as the home field of the Orioles de Montréal of the Ligue de Baseball Junior Élite du Québec. Gary Edmund Carter (April 8, 1954 – February 16, 2012) was an American professional baseball catcher whose 19-year Major League Baseball (MLB) career was spent primarily with the Montreal Expos and New York Mets. Nicknamed "the Kid" for his youthful exuberance, Carter was named an All-Star 11 times, and was a member of the 1986 World Series Champion Mets. Rodger Brulotte
Rodger Brulotte (Born January 4, 1947 in Montreal) is a Major League Baseball broadcaster. His career with the Montreal Expos organization started in 1969, working in sales and marketing. He contributed to the creation of the Youppi mascot. In 1984, he was hired by CKAC to serve as Color commentator alongside Jacques Doucet. In 1990, he moved to RDS where he called Expos games with his colleague Denis Casavant until the team's demise in 2004. He is famous for the line "Bonsoir, elle est partie!" (Good night, it is gone) which he said when the Expos hit a home run. Brulotte and Casavant continued to call baseball games on RDS, though coverage is now limited.
