Orioles De Montréal
The Montreal Orioles (french: Orioles de Montréal) are a junior baseball team that play in the Ligue de Baseball Junior Élite du Québec. The Orioles play their home games at Gary Carter Stadium (formerly Marcel-Clement Field) at Ahuntsic Park in the borough of Ahuntsic-Cartierville in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was established in 1999, as the Élites de Montréal, following a merger of two former teams, the Athlétiques de Rosemont and the Orioles d'Ahuntsic. Emmanuel Garcia
Emmanuel Garcia (born March 4, 1986 in Montreal, Quebec) is a Canadian former baseball player. He played six years in the minor leagues through 2010, and represented Canada at the Baseball World Cup and the Summer Olympics. Career Garcia signed as a free agent on September 2004, with the New York Mets . He signed as an infielder. He played in 2005 with the GCL Mets and surprised the league by hitting .339/.412/.409 with 17 steals in 18 tries and 43 runs in 45 games. He led the Gulf Coast League in runs, on-base percentage and hits (63, tied with Eduardo Pérez). He was third in the GCL in average behind Perez and Francisco Guzman, two points ahead of Matt Kutler. He was second to José Tábata in steals. Garcia was the GCL All-Star shortstop. Baseball America named him the #20 prospect in the GCL. The Salem Red Sox are a Minor League Baseball affiliate of the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB), based in Salem, an independent city adjacent to Roanoke, Virginia. The team competes at the Single-A level in the Carolina League. Home games are played at Haley Toyota Field at Salem Memorial Ballpark, a 6,300-seat facility opened in 1995. The Toledo Mud Hens are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. They are located in Toledo, Ohio, and play their home games at Fifth Third Field. A Mud Hens team has played in Toledo for most seasons since 1896, including a 50-year history as a member of the now defunct American Association. The current franchise was established in 1965. They joined Triple-A East in 2021, but this was renamed the International League in 2022. Background Professional baseball had been played off and on in Toledo since 1883, and the Mud Hens era began in 1896 with the "Swamp Angels", who played in the Interstate League. Ahuntsic-Cartierville ( (local accent)) is a borough (''arrondissement'') of the city of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The borough was created following the 2002 municipal reorganization of Montreal.
