Georgios Paraskevopoulos ( el, Γεώργιος Παρασκευόπουλος) was a Greek cyclist. He participated in the 1896 Summer Olympics in Athens. Paraskevopoulos competed in the 12 hour race and the road race. According to the data provided by the official website of the Olympic Games, Paraskevopoulos did not finish the 12 hour race and there is no third winner. Leonidas Paraskevopoulos
Leonidas Paraskevopoulos ( el, Λεωνίδας Παρασκευόπουλος; 7 October 1860 – 16 May 1936) was a senior officer of the Hellenic Army and politician. He played a major role in Greece's war effort during World War I, and was the commander-in-chief of the Army of Asia Minor in 1919–20. In later life he was a member of the Greek Senate and served as its speaker in 1930–32. Life Leonidas Paraskevopoulos was born on 7 October 1860 on the island of Kythnos. His family hailed from Smyrna, Asia Minor. He entered the Hellenic Military Academy and graduated in November 1881 as an Artillery 2nd Lieutenant. During the Greco-Turkish War of 1897, he served in the expeditionary corps sent to Crete under Colonel Timoleon Vassos. Paraskevopoulos is an old lunar impact crater that is located on the far side of the Moon The Moon is Earth's only natural satellite. Panagiotis Paraskevopoulos ( el, Παναγιώτης Παρασκευόπουλος, 1875 – 8 July 1956) was a Greek athlete. He competed at the 1896 Summer Olympics in Athens, and the 1900 Summer Olympics held in Paris. He was born in Gortynia and died in Corfu. Biography Paraskevopoulos competed in the discus throw, at the 1896 Summer Olympics an event which the Greek public felt that a Greek athlete was sure to win. Indeed, when Paraskevopoulos threw the discus 28.95 metres, it seemed as if he had won the event. The only athlete left to throw was Robert Garrett of the United States, who had been unable to throw the discus any distance in his first two throws. Garrett's final attempt, however, was a good one and sailed to 29.15 metres, relegating Paraskevopoulos to second place. Nikos Paraskevopoulos ( gr, Νίκος Παρασκευόπουλος) is a Greece, Greek criminologist who is a former Greek Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights, Minister of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights. He was a Professor of criminal law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki's Law School. In the September 2015 Greek legislative election, he was elected MP for the Thessaloniki A constituency with Syriza.
