Paras Shah
Paras Shah (born 30 December 1971) is the former and last Crown Prince of Nepal, the heir apparent to the throne, from 2001 until the abolition of the monarchy by the Interim Constituent Assembly in 2008 following the Constituent Assembly election. Education Paras is the only son of the deposed King Gyanendra and Queen Komal of Nepal. He has one sister, Prerana. He received his early education at St. Joseph's School in Darjeeling, India; Budhanilkantha School, Kathmandu; and Laboratory School, Kathmandu. He later attended Luther College in Iowa, and the Schiller International University in the United Kingdom studying for an undergraduate degree in Business Administration. Shah Dynasty
The Shah dynasty ( ne, शाह वंश), also known as the Shahs of Gorkha or the Royal House of Gorkha, was the ruling Chaubise Thakuri dynasty ; and the founder of Gorkha Kingdom from 1559 to 1768 and later the unified Kingdom of Nepal from 1768 to 28 May 2008. The Shah dynasty traces their historical ancestor to King of Kaski, Kulamandan Shah Khand, whose grandson Dravya Shah captured the throne of Ligligkot from Khadka kings with the help of accomplices from six resident clans of Majhkot and Ligligkot. Praveen Gurung
Praveen Gurung ( ne, प्रवीण गुरुङ, 30 April 1962 –6 August 2000) was a folk music folk singer, singer and music arranger from Nepal who arranged over five hundred recordings during his career in both Nepali language, Nepali and Gurung language, Gurung. His work is well known throughout Nepal. His song ''yo daju ko mirmire bhakha...'' is still a widely popular duet. Praveen was raised in the musical environment of the Gurung people, Gurung people of which he belonged. In 1980 at the age of eighteen he joined the regionally famous folk group ''Danfe Kala Mandir'' in Pokhara as a dancer and singer. Dipendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev ( ne, दीपेन्द्र वीर विक्रम शाह, 27 June 1971 – 4 June 2001) was the King of Nepal for three days from 1 to 4 June 2001. Nepalese Royal Massacre
The Nepalese royal massacre occurred on 1 June 2001 at the Narayanhiti Palace, the then-residence of the Nepalese monarchy. Nine members of the royal family, including King Birendra and Queen Aishwarya, were killed in a mass shooting during a gathering of the royal family at the palace. Dipendra was declared King of Nepal while comatose after the death of King Birendra. He died in hospital three days after the massacre without regaining consciousness.
