Paolo De Grandis
Paolo De Grandis (born 4 July 1957 in Venice, Italy) is an Italian contemporary art curator and president of PDG Arte Communications. He lives currently in Venice. Life and career De Grandis was born in Venice. At the end of the 1970s he moved to the US where he developed an interest in organizing art exhibitions. From 1984 to 1990 he directed the Academia Foundation where he organized his first exhibition ''Quartetto'' (1984) on the occasion of the 41st Venice Biennale at Scuola Grande S. Giovanni Evangelista. The exhibition included works by Joseph Beuys, Enzo Cucchi, Bruce Nauman and Luciano Fabro and was co-curated by Achille Bonito Oliva, Alanna Heiss, and Kasper König. Jannis Kounellis
Jannis Kounellis ( el, Γιάννης Κουνέλλης; 23 March 1936 – 16 February 2017) was a Greek Italian artist based in Rome. A key figure associated with Arte Povera, he studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome. Life and work Kounellis was born in Piraeus, Greece in 1936. He lived in Greece during the Second World War and Greek Civil War before he moved to Rome in 1956. From 1960 to 1966, Kounellis went through a period of only exhibiting paintings. In some of his first exhibitions, Kounellis began stenciling numbers, letters, and words onto his canvases, often reflecting advertisements and signs seen on the street. Richard Long (artist)
Sir Richard Julian Long, (born 2 June 1945) is an English sculptor and one of the best-known British land artists. Long is the only artist to have been short-listed four times for the Turner Prize. He was nominated in 1984, 1987 and 1988, and then won the award in 1989 for ''White Water Line''. He lives and works in Bristol, the city in which he was born. Emilio Vedova (9 August 1919 – 25 October 2006) was a modern Italian painter. He is considered one of the most important artists to emerge from Italy's artistic scene, Arte Informale. Early life Vedova was born in Venice into a working-class family. His artisan roots came from his house-painting father. He was the third child out of seven. Yoko Ono
Yoko Ono ( ; ja, 小野 洋子, Ono Yōko, usually spelled in katakana ; born February 18, 1933) is a Japanese multimedia artist, singer, songwriter, and peace activist. Pierre Restany (24 June 1930 – 29 May 2003), was an internationally known French art critic and cultural philosopher. Restany was born in Amélie-les-Bains-Palalda, Pyrénées-Orientales, and spent his childhood in Casablanca.
