Panthalassa (horse)
Panthalassa（; ; foaled March 1, 2017) is a retired Japanese race horse whose main victories include the 2022 Dubai Turf and the 2023 Saudi Cup. The name of the horse comes from the prehistoric superocean that surrounded Pangea, derived from his sire's name, which is from a God of the seas. Panthalassa is the first Japanese trained-horse to win the Saudi Cup, which has the largest purse in the world. Racing career 2019: Two-year old season Panthalassa made his debut with Ryusei Sakai as his jockey at a mile-long maiden race held at the Hanshin Racecourse on September 21, where he came in 6th place behind Lotus Land. After coming in 2nd place at another maiden race at Hanshin behind Akai Ito, his first victory came at a 2000-meter long maiden race held at the Kyoto Racecourse on October 12. Lord Kanaloa
is a Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. A specialist sprinter, he recorded his first important success in 2011 when he won the Grade 3 Keihan Hai at Kyoto Racecourse. In the following year he won once from his first four starts but then emerged as a world-class performer with wins in the Sprinters Stakes and the Hong Kong Sprint, becoming the first Japanese horse to win the latter race. Lord Kanaloa was even better in 2013 winning the Takamatsunomiya Kinen before stepping up in distance to take the Yasuda Kinen. In the autumn he repeated his wins in the Sprinters Stakes and the Hong Kong Sprint and ended the year rated as one of the best racehorses in the world. Akai Ito ( ja, アカイイト, link=no foaled 17 April 2017) is a Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse. She proved herself a successful but unremarkable racehorse in her first two seasons, winning minor races at Hanshin Racecourse, Hanshin in 2019 and Sapporo Racecourse, Sapporo in 2020. The Sapporo Kinen (Japanese 札幌記念) is a Grade 2 Handicap horse race for Thoroughbreds aged three and over run in August over a distance of 2,000 metres at Sapporo Racecourse. The Prince of Wales's Stakes is a Group 1 flat horse race in Great Britain open to horses aged four years or older. It is run at Ascot over a distance of 1 mile 1 furlong and 212 yards (2,004 metres), and it is scheduled to take place each year in June. Lord North (horse)
Lord North (foaled 9 February 2016) is an Irish-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse. After winning his only race as a juvenile in 2018 he won again on his three-year-old debut but ran poorly on his next start and was subsequently gelded. He returned to the track in the autumn of 2019 and recorded victories in the Cambridgeshire Handicap and the James Seymour Stakes. The gelding made further progress in 2020 when he won the Brigadier Gerard Stakes and the Prince of Wales's Stakes. Background Lord North is a bay horse with no white markings bred in Ireland by Sheikh Mohammed's Godolphin organisation.
