Panteghini
The Panteghini family is an Italian family, with Camunni, proto-Celtic, established in Bienno, recognised as one of the 5 Most Beautiful Villages of Italy, near the city of Brescia, in Val Camonica, Lombardy. Its etymological origin could be both Greek (Πάντε = all) and Latin (Genus = origin, genus, species), and could mean " ''from all origins'' " by its European multi-cultural roots already in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries . In 1483, the Signor Panteghini, coming from the Republic of Venice, according to legend, at the time of annexation of Val Camonica, settles in Bienno, and build his House, the Casa Panteghini. Bienno ( Camunian: ) is an Italian ''comune'' in Val Camonica, province of Brescia, Lombardy, classed as one of the five most beautiful villages of Italy by the Council of Tourism of the Association of Italian Municipalities (ANCI). Geography The village is located in Val Grigna, on the northern side of the river Grigna. It is bordered by other towns such as: Bagolino, Berzo Inferiore, Bovegno, Breno, Cividate Camuno, Collio, Prestine. Géographie History In 1295 a dispute occurred with the neighbouring village Bovegno regarding some high pastures. On January 25, 1350 the bishop of Brescia invested iure feuds for a tenth of the rights in the territories of the Municipality of Bienno (vicinia) and men of Bienno. The Bettoni family were a Venitian noble family that would be made Counts Bettoni. They originated in Bienno, Italy, near the city of Brescia, in Val Camonica, Lombardy. Lorenzo Bettoni ennobled merchant, 18 February 1684, was the first to give money to finance the war of the Republic of Venice against the Turks of the Ottoman Empire, and thus access to the Venetian nobility, offering 10 000 ducats. Charles Tristan, Marquis De Montholon
Charles Tristan, marquis de Montholon (21 July 1783 – 21 August 1853) was a French general during the Napoleonic Wars. He chose to go into exile on Saint Helena with the ex-Emperor after Napoleon's second abdication. Early life and career Montholon was born in Paris and was trained for a military career from a young age. In his tenth year, he joined the expedition of Admiral Laurent Truguet to the coast of Sardinia. Entering the army in 1797, he rose rapidly and avowed himself, when chef d'escadron in Paris at the time of the ''coup d'état'' of 18 Brumaire (November 1799), entirely devoted to Bonaparte.
