Sithratchcharige Panis Algama ( si, ආචාර්ය එස්. පණීභාරත; 24 February 1920 – 20 February 2006Some local newspapers cited his death in 20 February 2006. Considered to be the pioneer of Sinhala classical dance, Panibhratha heavily contributed to Sri Lankan dance as an art form in a career that spanned over five decades. Personal life Panibharatha was born on February 24, 1920, in Algama, Kegalle, Sri Lanka, as the second of six sons. J.P. Dayasiri Padma Kumara Jayasekara (born 12 June 1969) is a Sri Lankan politician who is presently serving as a Member of Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, and is the General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP). Sikuru Tharuwa is a 1963 Sri Lankan drama directed by L. S. Ramachandran and written by P. K. D. Seneviratne. It was developed by the Kurulu Rana group that attempted to make original movies pertaining to Sinhalese culture. Kegalle
Kegalle ( si, කෑගල්ල; ta, கேகாலை) is a large town in Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka. It is located on the Colombo–Kandy road, approximately from Colombo and from Kandy. It is the main town in the Kegalle District, which is one of two districts which comprise Sabaragamuwa Province. The town is governed by an Urban Council. Kegalle has an agricultural based economy and mainly produces rubber. The surrounding area produces graphite, precious stones and agricultural products such as rice. Mahinda Nandimithra Ekanayake (born 26 December 1943 in Handala, Wattala) is a Sri Lankan politician. Early career Prior to entering politics in 1989, he held a number of positions with the Rural Development Department. At the age of 21, he worked as a rural development officer.
