Panelák (TV Series)
Panelák is a Slovak daily television series that aired from 2008 until 2017 on TV JOJ. In Slovak, ''panelák'' means "block of flats". The soap opera follows the lives of a group of people living in an apartment building. Background ''Panelák'' originally aired for fifteen seasons from 18 February 2008 until 17 June 2015 as a daily series, becoming the longest-running television show in Slovak history. In 2017, it was brought back for one more season upon its fifteenth anniversary, from 29 March until 30 August. The soap opera is loosely connected to the earlier Slovak series ''Susedia'' (Neighbours), broadcast by Markíza from 2006 until 2007, and later rebooted in 2018. Viktória Ráková Lakatos (born 15 March 1981) is a Slovak television and theatre actress. She is best known for starring in the TV Shows ''Panelák'' and ''Susedia''. Biography Viktória Ráková was born on 15 March 1981 in Rimavská Sobota. She is of Hungarian ethnicity. She studied acting at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, graduating in 2006. Ján, also credited as Janko Lehotský (born 16 April 1947) is a Slovak composer and former leader of the Modus band. Lehotský began his performing career when he was four years old, when he performed in a marionette theater. He was a freelance composer during the Velvet Revolution. Richard Müller (singer)
Richard Müller (born 6 September 1961) is a Slovak singer, songwriter, and occasional actor. He is one of the most successful singers in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia, where he has sold more than one million records. Biography He started as a music journalist. In the beginning of the 1980s, while studying the theory of drama and screenplay at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava (VŠMU), he started writing for the daily paper and the only specialized periodical at the time, ''Popular'', and, later, for ''Gramorevue''. TV JOJ
TV JOJ is a Slovak private TV channel owned by J&T Enterprises and launched in March 2002. The channel screens serial dramas and TV shows. History It was launched on 2 March 2002 as a successor of the TV Global, which had been broadcasting since March 2000. The station's first slogan was "Nuda na Slovensku skončila" - "Boredom in Slovakia has finished". TV JOJ was built by former head of the Czech channel TV Nova, Vladimír Železný, when he was at war with TV Nova's U.S. investor Central European Media Enterprises (CME). Through Joj, Železný wanted to shake the dominance of CME's station in Slovakia, TV Markíza, which was enjoying almost 50 percent of the country's nationwide audience.
