Pandi, Bulacan
Pandi, officially the Municipality of Pandi ( tgl, Bayan ng Pandi), is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Bulacan, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 155,115 people. The municipality of Pandi lies north-east of Manila and is located at the eastern portion of Bulacan Province. With the continuous expansion of Metro Manila, Pandi is now included in the Greater Manila's built-up area which reaches San Ildefonso, Bulacan at its northernmost part. Pandi is one of the youngest towns in Bulacan. ''Pandi'' is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language masala film written and directed by Rasu Madhuravan. It stars Raghava Lawrence and Sneha, while Namitha, Nassar, Saranya Ponvannan, and Sriman play supporting roles. The film was released on 23 May 2008. It was a hit in B&C centres. The film was also later dubbed into Hindi as ''Ek Dulara'' in 2011. Plot Pandi (Raghava Lawrence) does menial jobs in Dubai and saves every penny he earns and sends it to his family in Usilampatti. The Pandi (or Pandae) in Medieval bestiaries and Greco-Roman geographic works were a race of giant-eared people with eight fingers and toes and white hair that turned black with age. The 2018 Summer Youth Olympics ( es, Juegos Olímpicos de la Juventud de 2018), officially known as the III Summer Youth Olympic Games, and commonly known as Buenos Aires 2018, were an international sports, cultural, and educational event held from 6 to 18 October 2018 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. They were the first Youth Olympic Games held outside of Eurasia, and the first Summer Games held outside of Asia and the first to be held in the Western and Southern hemispheres. Pandi Melam
Pandi melam is a classical percussion concert or melam (ensemble) led by the ethnic Kerala instrument called the chenda and accompanied by ilathalam (cymbals), kuzhal and Kombu. A full-length Pandi, a melam based on a thaalam ( taal) with seven beats, lasts more than two-and-a-half hours, and is canonically performed outside temples. It has basically four stages, each of them with rhythmic cycles (thaalavattam) totalling 56, 28, 14 and seven respectively. The most celebrated Pandi Melam is staged inside a temple compound at the ''Vadakkunnathan'' shrine's precincts in the central Kerala town of Thrissur. Pandi Geço (1913–1994) was an Albanian geographer. He was best known for his unique regionalization of Albania into four physical-geographic regions, a regionalization proposed for the first time by him and still used today. He was also the author of the first Albanian academic textbooks of geography. Early life and higher education Pandi Geço was born in Korçë, Albania in 1913, the only son of Niko Geço and Katerina Ballauri. He received his primary education in his hometown, Korçë, where he continued his secondary and tertiary education in French language at the Albanian National Lyceum. In 1935 he completed his studies in the Lyceum and went to study geography in Paris, France. Pandi Laço (born 21 March 1964 in Korçë) is an Albanian journalist, songwriter, presenter and scenarist. He is mostly known for his work on Albanian Eurovision songs, of which he wrote several. Pandi has worked with notable Albanian artists including Frederik Ndoci. Since a few years ago, he has started his own show called "Histori me Zhumues" (History with noise), a show for Albanian history in film and music. Pandi Raidhi (14 April 1921 – 18 July 1999) was an Albanian film and theatre actor, and recipient of the People's Artist of Albania recognition. Biography Raidhi was born on 14 April 1921 in Korçë in southern Albania. He started his artistic career in July 11 1920 in the variety show ''Dasma Korçare'' (Wedding of Korçë), where he conquested the public immediately. Raidhi participated in the National Liberation Movement as part of the Anti-Fascist Youth organization, and afterwards, in 1948 after finishing high school he entered the National Theatre of Albania. In 1950 he returned to the Andon Zako Çajupi Theatre of Korçë where he would subsequently spend 40 years of acting. He debuted in cinematography in the movie Tana of 1958. Furthermore, he would interpret in another 36 roles. Overall Raidhi has interpreted in around 200 roles in drama, comedies, operettas and movies. Raidhi died in Berat on 11 July 1999.
