Pandharinath Sawant
Pandharinath Sawant (Marathi: पंढरीनाथ सावंत ) is a journalist from the state of Maharashtra in India who worked closely with Prabodhankar Thackeray and Bal Thackeray. Work He covered the 1972 famine in Maharashtra. He also covered the Nav Nirman movement led by Jayaprakash Narayan in Bihar. His Autobiography is titled 'Mee Pandhari Girangavcha'. Based on the life of Textile millworkers residing prominently in Lalbaug and Parel- Early life Following the explosions on April 14, 1944 in Mumbai, his family moved to Mahad and then to Vinhere in Konkan when a plague struck Mahad. Ganapati
Ganesha ( sa, गणेश, ), also known as Ganapati, Vinayaka, and Pillaiyar, is one of the best-known and most worshipped deities in the Hindu pantheon and is the Supreme God in Ganapatya sect. ''Pudhari'' is a popular Marathi daily, printed in three centres and distributed in Maharashtra, Goa and North Karnataka. It is the leader in Kolhapur and Western Maharashtra and the third-largest Marathi newspaper daily in the entire state of Maharashtra. The Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST) is a civic transport and electricity provider public body based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. It was originally set up in 1873 as a tramway company called "Bombay Tramway Company Limited". The company set up a captive thermal power station at the Wadi bunder in November 1905 to generate electricity for its trams and positioned it to also supply electricity to the city and re-branded itself to "Bombay Electric Supply & Tramways (BEST)" Company. In 1926, BEST also became an operator of motor buses. In 1947, the BEST became an undertaking of the Municipal Corporation and rebranded itself to "Bombay Electric Supply & Transport (BEST)". The Konkan ( kok, कोंकण) or Kokan () is a stretch of land by the western coast of India, running from Damaon in the north to Karwar in the south; with the Arabian Sea to the west and the Deccan plateau in the east.
