Pandey, Pande, or Panday (Hindi: पाण्डेय/पाण्डे/पाँडे/पाण्डेय) (Nepali: पाण्डे/पाँडे/पाण्डेय) is a surname which has its roots in Sanskrit. India Majority of Pandey in India are classified under Brahmin varna, mainly residing in various north Indian states including Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Maharashtra, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka. Aditya Pande (born 1976) is an Indian contemporary artist. His technique often involves a layering of surfaces along with mixed, diverse media ranging from vector drawing, digital photography, ink, acrylic paint to tinsel. His work combines the skills of drawing and printmaking with photography and painting. Life Pande was born in Lucknow in 1976, and raised in Chandigarh. He trained at the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad, from where he graduated in 2001. He held his first solo show, ‘A to Zoo’, at Chatterjee and Lal, Mumbai, in 2008, and his work has been featured in several solo and group exhibitions since. Pande is currently based in New Delhi, India. Ghanshyam Pande
Swaminarayan (IAST: ', 3 April 1781 – 1 June 1830), also known as Sahajanand Swami, was a yogi and ascetic, who is believed by followers to be a manifestation of God Krishna, or as the highest manifestation of Purushottam, and around whom the Swaminarayan Sampradaya developed. In 1800, he was initiated into the ''Uddhav'' ''sampradaya'' by his guru, Swami Ramanand, and was given the name Sahajanand Swami. Despite opposition, in 1802 Ramanand handed over the leadership of the Uddhav Sampraday to him before his death. Pandey Ganpat Rai
Pandey Ganpat Rai (1809-1858) was a revolutionary and rebel leader in the Indian Rebellion of 1857 and a chieftain in Lohardaga district of Bihar (now a part of Jharkhand). Early life He was born on January 17, 1809 in Bhounro village of Lohardaga district. He was born in a Kayastha zamindar family. His family name was Pandey of Srivastava subcaste. His father was Ramkishun Rai Srivastava and Mother Sumitra Devi. His uncle Sadashiv Rai Srivastava was Dewan of Nagvanshi Maharaja Jagannath Shah Deo. Ganesh Pandey
Ganesh Pandey or Ganesa Pande (Nepali:गणेश पाण्डे वा गणेश पाँडे) (born circa 1529-1606) was Minister and Accomplice of King Dravya Shah of Gorkha. He helped Dravya Shah to become King of Gorkha and was later appointed Minister (Bhardar) of Gorkha Rajya. He is the founder of the aristocratic Pande family. Damodar Pande
Damodar Pande ( ne, दामोदर पाँडे) (1752 – March 13, 1804) was the Mulkaji of Nepal (equivalent to Prime Minister of Nepal) from 1803 to 1804 and most influential Kaji since 1794 to his death on March 13, 1804. He is also arguably referred to as the first Prime Minister of Nepal. He was the youngest son of famous Kaji of Prithivi Narayan Shah Kalu Pande. He was born in 1752 in Gorkha. Dalbhanjan Pande or Dalabhanjan Pande ( ne, दलभञ्जन पाँडे) was a Nepalese minister, politician and military officer of the aristocratic Pande family. He had held ministerial positions and military offices. He jointly headed the military administration of Nepal in 1837 along with ''Mukhtiyar'' Rana Jang Pande.
