Pamela O'Connor (figure Skater)
Pamela "Pam" O'Connor (born 22 March 1980 in Glasgow) is a Scottish former ice dancer who competed internationally representing Great Britain. With her husband Jonathon O'Dougherty, she is the 2003 British national champion. Career O'Connor competed with partner Jonathan O'Dougherty. They competed at one World Championships, finishing 19th in 2002, and twice at the European Championships, finishing 16th in 2003 and 14th in 2005. They won medals at several internationals – Finlandia Trophy, Pavel Roman Memorial, Ondrej Nepela Memorial, and Golden Spin of Zagreb – and one senior national title. They retired from competitive skating in 2005. In 1999, O'Connor appeared as a young figure skater in a Robbie Williams music video. Ondrej Nepela Memorial
The Nepela Memorial ( sk, Memoriál Ondreja Nepelu), formerly known as the Ondrej Nepela Trophy in 2013–15 & 2017 and the Ondrej Nepela Memorial, is an annual senior-level international figure skating competition. Named after Figure skating at the 1972 Winter Olympics, 1972 Olympic champion Ondrej Nepela, the competition has been held annually since 1993. It became part of the ISU Challenger Series in the 2014–15 season. The competition is generally held in Slovakia's capital, Bratislava, except 2009 when it was held in Piešťany. In most years, medals are awarded in four disciplines – single skating, men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, pairs, and ice dancing. The Bofrost Cup on Ice (the Fujifilm Trophy (1986–1987), the Nations Cup (1989–1997), the Sparkassen Cup on Ice (1998–2001)) was a senior international figure skating competition held in Germany from 1986 to 2004. European Figure Skating Championships
The European Figure Skating Championships is an annual figure skating competition in which figure skaters compete for the title of European champion. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The event is sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU) and is the sport's oldest competition. The first European Championships was held in 1891 in Hamburg, Germany and featured one segment, compulsory figures, with seven competitors, all men from Germany and Austria. The free dance (FD) is a segment of an ice dance competition, the second contested. It follows the rhythm dance (RD). Original Dance
The original dance (OD) was one of the programs performed by figure skaters in ice dance competitions, in which the ice dancers skated "a dance of their own creation to dance music they have selected for the designated rhythm(s)".Rulebook, p. 90 It was normally the second of three programs in the competition, sandwiched between the compulsory dance (CD) and the free dance (FD). The rhythm(s) and type of music required for the OD changed every season, and were selected by the International Skating Union (ISU) before the start of the season. The ice dancers were free to choose their own music and choreography (within the specified constraints) and to create their own routines. Neil Andrew Howe Fox (born 12 June 1961) is an English radio DJ and television presenter, known for many years as Dr Fox before he became "Foxy" in the 2000s, then simply as Neil Fox, M.D. before reemerging as "Dr Fox" in 2020 to host the UDJ "Heritage Chart" countdown. David Seaman
David Andrew Seaman (born 19 September 1963) is an English former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. In a career lasting from 1981 to 2004, he is best known for his time playing for Arsenal. ''Torvill and Dean's Dancing on Ice'' was an Australian reality television series which was based on the original British version, ''Dancing on Ice''. The series premiered on the Nine Network on Tuesday, 11 July 2006 at , and involved celebrities ice dancing on a specially constructed ice rink located in Sydney's north-west suburbs. ''Dancing on Ice'' is a British television series presented by Phillip Schofield alongside Holly Willoughby from 2006 to 2011, who then returned in 2018, and Christine Bleakley from 2012 to 2014.
