Pam Redfield
Pam Redfield (born 1948) was a Nebraska state senator from Omaha, Nebraska in the Nebraska Legislature. __NOTOC__ Personal life She was born Pam Turek on August 11, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois and graduated from Duchesne Academy in 1966. She attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in education in 1969. She married Jerry Redfield and had six children. She is the chair of the Rotary International Foundation, is on the executive board of the National Conference of Insurance Legislators, and is a former member of the Ralston board of education. Ben Nelson
Earl Benjamin Nelson (born May 17, 1941) is an American attorney, businessman, and politician who served as the 37th governor of Nebraska from 1991 to 1999 and as a United States Senator from Nebraska from 2001 to 2013. He is a member of the Democratic Party, and as of 2022, the last Democrat to serve as either a senator or governor of Nebraska. Nelson was an insurance executive before he entered politics. His first run for office was in 1990, when he narrowly defeated incumbent Republican Governor Kay Orr. He was reelected by a landslide in 1994. He ran for an open U.S. Senate seat in 1996, losing in an upset to Republican Chuck Hagel. He was elected to Nebraska's other Senate seat in 2000, and reelected in 2006. Steve Lathrop
Steve Lathrop (born April 1, 1957) is an American attorney and Democratic Party politician from the U.S. state of Nebraska. From 2007 to 2015, he served as a member of the Nebraska Legislature, representing an Omaha-area district. He did not run for re-election in 2014 due to Nebraska's term limits. Ralston is a city in Douglas County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 6,494 at the 2020 census. A suburb of Omaha, Ralston is surrounded on three sides by the city of Omaha by 84th, 72nd, and L Streets, and by Sarpy County (Harrison Street) on the south side. History The area of the townsite was established on May 23, 1907 with the sale of 282.7 acres of land owned by Omaha newspaper editor George L Miller to the Ralston Investment Company.
