Palms Ground
The Palms Ground ( he, מגרש הדקלים) was a football ground in the Florentin neighborhood of Tel Aviv, Israel. The ground was first known as Maccabi Ground and later as Hapoel Ground, but was nicknamed Palms Ground after the palms surrounding it. History The ground was built in the early 1920s for use of Maccabi Tel Aviv, which played in the ground until its lease was over and the club built a new ground in south-east Tel Aviv. In 1929 Hapoel Tel Aviv, recently merged with Allenby football club, moved to play at the ground. However, due to security concerns, arising from the proximity of the ground to Jaffa, Hapoel moved to a new ground in 1941, after which the ground was abandoned and was built over. SC Hakoah Vienna (german: Sport Club Hakoah Wien; ' means "the strength" in Hebrew) is a Jewish sports club in Vienna, Austria. The 48th (Northamptonshire) Regiment of Foot was a regiment of the British Army, raised in 1741. Under the Childers Reforms it amalgamated with the 58th (Rutlandshire) Regiment of Foot to form the Northamptonshire Regiment in 1881. The 1930 Palestine Cup ( he, הגביע הארץ-ישראלי, ''HaGavia HaEretz-Israeli'') was the third season of Israeli Football Association's nationwide football cup competition. The defending holders were Maccabi Tel Aviv. For the second (and last) season, teams were allowed to enter their reserve teams, and such teams were entered on behalf of Hapoel Haifa, Hapoel Tel Aviv and Maccabi Tel Aviv.
