Pallars
Pallars is a historical and natural region of Catalonia. Located in the Pre-Pyrenees and Pyrenees area, most of its territory is mountainous. The Noguera Pallaresa river is named after this region. Geography The physiography of the Pallars natural region includes the Noguera Pallaresa river basin with its tributaries. The region encompasses as well as the mountain ranges spanning the Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees area that surround the basin until the Serra del Montsec which forms the limit of the Pallars at its southern end. Baix Pallars is a town and municipality in the comarca of Pallars Sobirà, Catalonia, northern Spain. The village of Gerri de la Sal is the administrative center of the municipality and home to the medieval monastery of Santa Maria de Gerri. Tremp () is a municipality in Catalonia, Spain, the capital of the ''comarca'' of the Pallars Jussà. It is the largest municipality in Catalonia in terms of area (),The municipality of Tortosa is historically larger than Tremp, but was subdivided into five separate municipalities between 1977 and 1983. accounting for nearly a quarter of the total area of the ''comarca''. Conca de Dalt is a municipality (''municipi'') in the ''comarca'' of the Pallars Jussà in Catalonia, Spain. The municipal territory extends to both the east and west of la Pobla de Segur, on the sides of the valley of the Noguera Pallaresa river. Espot
Espot is a Municipalities of Catalonia, municipality in the ''Comarques of Catalonia, comarca'' of the Pallars Sobirà in Catalonia, Spain. It is located in the Espot Valley, east of the river Noguera Pallaresa. The municipality is one of the entrances to the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park. Espot has been mentioned in documents dating back to the year 839. Economy The economy of the municipality is largely based on tourism, thanks to the ski resort Espot Esquí and an increase in rural tourism. The area also depends on the milk industry and cattle ranching, specifically Bovinae, bovines. Talarn
Talarn () is a municipality in the ''comarca'' of the Pallars Jussà in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated in the centre of the Tremp basin, on the Noguera Pallaresa river below the Sant Antoni reservoir. It is the site of a hydroelectric power station and of a training school of the Spanish army (''Academia Básica de Suboficiales''). The town is served by the C-147 road between Tremp and La Pobla de Segur. Talarn was originated on a hill around the former castle. It was an important fortified place and the chief town of the area of Pallars in 1453. La Pobla De Segur
La Pobla de Segur is a municipality located in the comarca of Pallars Jussà, province of Lleida, Catalonia, in northern Spain. According to the 2013 census (INE), the town has a population of 3,073 inhabitants. It is situated at the confluence of the Flamicell and Noguera Pallaresa rivers in the north of the ''comarca'', above the Sant Antoni reservoir. It is an important local service centre, which has allowed it to escape the depopulation which has affected many municipalities in northwestern Catalonia. Alins is a municipality in the ''comarca'' of the Pallars Sobirà in Catalonia, Spain. It adjoins France and Andorra. It covers the valleys of the Noguera de Vallferrara and Tor rivers in the north of the ''comarca''. Alt Àneu is a municipality in the ''comarca'' of the Pallars Sobirà in Catalonia, Spain. It is the largest municipality in Catalonia in terms of area at , but it has only about 400 people.
