Pallandu Vazhga
''Pallandu Vaazhga'' () is a 1975 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed and edited by K. Shankar. A remake of the 1957 Hindi film ''Do Aankhen Barah Haath'', it stars M. G. Ramachandran and Latha. The film revolves around a prison warden (Ramachandran) who takes six paroled convicts ( M. N. Nambiar, V. K. Ramasamy, Thengai Srinivasan, R. S. Manohar, P. S. Veerappa and Gundumani) to work on a dilapidated country farm in an attempt to rehabilitate them. The script of ''Pallandu Vaazhga'' was written to be substantially different from ''Do Aankhen Barah Haath'', by including references to politics in Tamil Nadu, adding new characters, and changing the fate of the lead character. The film was produced by S. Manian and Vidwan V. Lakshmanan, who also contributed to the screenplay alongside Thaamarai Manaalan, and Na. Pandurangan, while cinematography was handled by T. V. Latha (actress)
Latha, also known as M.G.R. Latha or Latha Sethupathi, (born 7 June 1953) is an Indian actress, who played leading roles in South Indian films from 1973 to 1983. She is also known for her roles in various serials in Tamil language. Early life Her photogenic looks and dancing skills attracted attention from the Tamil film industry. She entered films when she was fifteen and was encouraged by her aunt, actress Kamala Kotnis. Her first film was ''Ulagam Sutrum Valiban'' (1973), whose star and producer was M. G. Ramachandran. The Federation of Tamil Sangams in North America (FeTNA) is a non-profit organization of Tamil organizations in the United States and Canada. It is a registered, non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization and founded in 1987 by five Tamil organizations: Tamil Association of Delaware Valley, Tamil Sangam of Washington & Baltimore, New York Tamil Sangam, Ilankai Tamil Sangam and Harrisburg Tamil Sangam. History and profile ''Ananda Vikatan'' was started by Late Pudhoor Vaidyanadhaiyar in February 1926 as a monthly publication. Pulavar Pulamaipithan (6 October 1935 – 8 September 2021) was an Indian scholar, poet and lyricist who got recognition through the song "Naan yaar nee yaar" which was featured in the Tamil film ''Kudiyirundha Koyil'' in 1968. He briefly served as the presidium chairman of AIADMK from 2002 to 2003, when he resigned citing ill-health. Biography Pulamaipithan was born in Irugur, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu on 6 October 1935.
