Palladium (Stockholm)
The Palladium was a Movie theater, cinema in the Swedish capital Stockholm that operated between 1918 and 1987. It was the largest cinema in Sweden when it opened with more than 1,200 seats. Palladium 1941
Palladium is a chemical element with the Symbol (chemistry), symbol Pd and atomic number 46. It is a rare and lustrous silvery-white metal discovered in 1803 by the English chemist William Hyde Wollaston. He named it after the 2 Pallas, asteroid Pallas, which was itself named after the epithet of the Greek goddess Athena, acquired by her when she slew Pallas (daughter of Triton), Pallas. Palladium, platinum, rhodium, ruthenium, iridium and osmium form a group of elements referred to as the platinum group metals (PGMs). They have similar chemical properties, but palladium has the lowest melting point and is the least dense of them. SF Studios is a Swedish film and television production and distribution company (both Swedish and international) with headquarters in Stockholm and local offices in Oslo, Copenhagen, Helsinki and London. The studio is owned by Nordic media conglomerate, the Bonnier Group. Casino Cosmopol is a Swedish company, a subsidiary of Svenska Spel, owning three casinos. All the profit of the company goes to the national treasury of Sweden. It was in 1999 in the old Customs House, Gothenburg (now Casino Cosmopol) that it was decided to open four state-involved casinos.
