Palisades High School (Pennsylvania)
Palisades High School is a public high school in Kintnersville, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is the only public high school that serves the Palisades School District, with students coming from Tinicum, Nockamixon, Springfield, Durham, and Bridgeton Townships and the borough of Riegelsville. The school serves grades 9–12. Many students take online courses taught by Palisades teachers to obtain credit in a specified course. Online classes offered currently include 12th grade English, Global Perspectives, Health, Biology, and Algebra. The school mascot is the pirate. History Palisades Joint School Board was established by Bridgeton, Durham, Springfield and Tinicum townships in 1948. Nockamixon joined in 1950. Athletics Palisades competes in the Colonial League of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA). Bridgeton Township, Pennsylvania
Bridgeton Township is a township in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,277 at the 2010 census. The township was originally a part of adjacent Nockamixon Township, but a division was arranged and signed on May 24, 1890. This accord split an area of Nockamixon which ran west from the banks of the Delaware River to approximately one third the breadth of the original township. This smaller area was named "Bridgeton", as it was the site of Upper Black Eddy-Milford Bridge covered wooden truss bridge built in 1842, which connected the towns of Upper Black Eddy and Milford, New Jersey. The Colonial League is an athletic conference consisting of 14 high schools mostly from the Lehigh Valley portion of eastern Pennsylvania. It is part of District XI of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association. The Colonial League is designed for mid and small-size schools in the Lehigh Valley.
