Gabriel Alejandro Paletta (; born 15 February 1986) is a professional footballer who plays as a centre-back. Born in Argentina to parents of Italian descent, Paletta represented his birth nation at the under-20 level, participating in the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship in the Netherlands. He started all seven matches as Argentina won the title. In 2014, Paletta was called up to the Italy national team and made his debut in a friendly against Spain. Juan Paletta is a retired Argentinian football (soccer) forward who played in the North American Soccer League and American Soccer League who shared the ASL scoring title in 1970. In 1967, Paletta signed with the Ukrainian Nationals of the American Soccer League. In 1968, he moved to the Washington Whips of the North American Soccer League. Vincent Pallotti
Vincent Pallotti (21 April 1795 – 22 January 1850) was an Italian ecclesiastic and a saint. Born in Rome, he was the founder of the Society of the Catholic Apostolate later to be known as the "Pious Society of Missions" (the Pallottines). The original name was restored in 1947. He is buried in the church of San Salvatore in Onda. He is considered the forerunner of Catholic Action. His feast day is 22 January. He was the uncle of Cardinal Luigi Pallotti (1829–1890). Guglielmo Pallotta (13 November 1727 – 21 September 1795) was an Italian Roman Catholic Cardinal. Biography Born in Macerata, Marche, he studied hydraulics and law in Rome and then was ordained priest. Later he became auditor of Cardinal Carlo Rezzonico and served in the Fabric of Saint Peter. In 1773 he was named Treasurer general of the Apostolic Camera. Pallotta was created cardinal priest in the consistory of 23 June 1777 by Pope Pius VI with the title of Sant'Eusebio.
