The Mohammad Shtayyeh Government or State of Palestine Government of April 2019 is the eighteenth Palestinian government. Mohammad Shtayyeh was assigned to formally form it on 10 March 2019, after the resignation of Palestinian Unity Government of June 2014. The government was sworn in on 13 April 2019 in front of the President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas. Mohammad Shtayyeh
Mohammad Ibrahim Shtayyeh ( ar, محمد اشتية) (born 17 January 1958) is a Palestinian politician, academic and economist who became prime minister of the Palestinian National Authority in March 2019. He is a member of Fatah who was elected to its Central Committee in the movement’s 2009 and 2016 elections and is aligned with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. Born in Tell, Nablus in 1958, Shtayyeh was named a minister of Palestinian Economic Council for Development and Reconstruction (PECDAR), a $1.6 billion public investment fund, in 1996. He served as its director of administration and finance from 1994 to 1996. Mohammad Fahhad Al-Shalaldeh (born on February 3, 1955, in Sa’ir) is a Palestinian jurist and academic. Since April 2019, he has held the position of Minister of the Ministry of Justice within the government of Mohammad Shtayyeh. Education Al-Shalalda obtained a high school diploma from Hebron city schools in 1974. He obtained a master's degree in law from the Faculty of International Law at Azerbaijan State University in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, in 1983.
