Palasport Roberta Serradimigni
Palasport Roberta Serradimigni, commonly known as PalaSerradimigni, is a multi-use indoor sporting arena that is located in Sassari, Sardinia, Italy. The arena can be used to host basketball, volleyball, and handball games. The current seating capacity of the arena for basketball games is 5,000. History PalaSerradimigni was officially opened in 1981. The arena originally had a seating capacity of 2,500. In 1992, the seating capacity of the arena was increased to 4,532. In 2005, the arena's parquet flooring was updated and replaced. In 2006, the arena was named after Roberta Serradimigni, who died in a car accident at the age of 32, and who is considered to be one of the best basketball players from Sardinia. In 2009, the protective glass that was around the court was removed, and the retractable hanging baskets were replaced with the new floor level modern regulation baskets. Litfiba was an Italian rock band formed in Florence, Italy, in early 1980. The band evolved from British-influenced new wave rock to a more personal rock sound influenced by Mediterranean vibes; their songs are mostly sung in Italian. Stadio Vanni Sanna (formerly known as Stadio Acquedotto) is a multi-use stadium in Sassari, Italy. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and is the home ground of Sassari Torres, S.E.F. Torres 1903 and U.S.D. Latte Dolce. The stadium holds 12,000. Antonello Venditti
Antonio "Antonello" Venditti (born 8 March 1949) is an Italian singer-songwriter and pianist who became famous in the 1970s for the social themes of his songs. Biography Antonello Venditti was born in Rome, the son of Vincenzino Italo Venditti from Campolieto, in Molise, deputy-prefect in Rome, and Wanda Sicardi. He studied piano in his youth and made his debut in the music world in the early 1970s at the Folkstudio of Rome, together with singers like Francesco De Gregori and Giorgio Lo Cascio. In duo with the former he released in 1972 his first LP, ''Theorius Campus''. The LP scored little success, but Venditti at least made himself noted for the strength of his vocal qualities and for his attention to social issues, evidenced by pieces like "Sora Rosa", sung in Roman dialect. Nomadi (or I Nomadi, meaning "Nomads") is an Italian band formed in 1963 and still present on the music scene. Career Origins In 1961, Beppe Carletti and Leonardo Manfredini formed the group I Monelli (‘Urchins’). In 1962, Carletti met Franco Midilli, guitarist of the group Novellara, who joined them in Monelli. In 1963 Franco Midilli introduced Augusto Daolio to Beppe Carletti and he too joined the group.
