Palaiokastro, Kozani
Palaiokastro ( el, Παλαιόκαστρο) is a village and a community of the Voio municipality. Before the 2011 local government reform it was part of the municipality of Siatista, of which it was a municipal district. The 2011 census recorded 239 inhabitants in the village and 311 inhabitants in the community of Palaiokastro. The community of Palaiokastro covers an area of 47.525 km2. West Macedonia
Western Macedonia ( el, Δυτική Μακεδονία, translit=Ditikí Makedonía, ) is one of the thirteen regions of Greece, consisting of the western part of Macedonia. Kozani ( el, Περιφερειακή Ενότητα Κοζάνης, Perifereiakí Enótita Kozánis) is one of the regional units of Greece. It is part of the region of Western Macedonia, in the geographic region of Macedonia. Its capital is the city of Kozani. Geography Kozani borders the regional units of Kastoria to the west and northwest, Florina to the north, Pella to the northeast, Imathia and Pieria to the east, Larissa (part of Thessaly) to the southeast, and Grevena to the south. Voio ( el, Βόιο) is a municipality in the Kozani regional unit, Greece. The seat of the municipality is the town Siatista. It was named after the Voio mountains. Siatista ( el, Σιάτιστα) is a town and a former municipality in Kozani regional unit, Western Macedonia, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Voio, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. It lies southwest of Kozani.
