Pakistani Cricket Team Vs Australia In The UAE In 2012
The Pakistani cricket team played a home series against Australia from 28 August to 10 September 2012 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The series consisted of three One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The matches began in the late evening to avoid the high temperature of the daytime. The ODI series was reduced due to Australian Cricketers' Association (ACA) and Cricket Australia (CA) concerns about the weather in the UAE during August. Earlier the International Cricket Council (ICC) approved a six-match T20I series on the request of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), but Pakistan still wanted to play an ODI series. Nasir Jamshed ( ur, ناصر جمشید; born 6 December 1989) is a former Pakistani cricketer, who is currently banned for ten years for his involvement in spot-fixing. Previously, he represented Pakistan national cricket team in One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. He was a Left-handed opening batsman. In February 2017, he was suspended and later banned for one year for his part in the 2017 Pakistan Super League spot-fixing scandal. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is a sports governing body for cricket in Pakistan responsible for controlling and organising all tours and matches undertaken by the Pakistan national cricket team. A member of the International Cricket Council since 1952, it represents the country's men's and women's national teams in international cricket tournaments played under the ICC. Following the establishment of Pakistan as an independent dominion of the British Empire in 1947, professional and amateur cricket commenced in the same year, seeing as local infrastructure had already been established when the country was part of the British Raj. Asad Shafiq ( ur, ; born 28 January 1986) is a Pakistani cricketer who played for Pakistan national cricket team between 2010 and 2020. Misbah-ul-Haq
; born 28 May 1974) is a former Pakistani cricket coach and former international cricketer. Misbah captained Pakistan in all formats and is former head coach and former chief selector of the Pakistan national team.
