The Pakistan Sikh Council (PSC) (Gurmukhi: ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਂਸਲ; Shahmukhi: ) is a Sikh organisation in Pakistan which works for rights of Sikh community in Pakistan. In organisation Sardar Ramesh Singh Khalsa is Patron-in-Chief, Sardar Tara Singh is president, Arshad Jee Singh is vice president and Karan Singh Rai is General Secretary. It is based in Karachi. Gurmukhi
Gurmukhī ( pa, ਗੁਰਮੁਖੀ, , Shahmukhi: ) is an abugida developed from the Laṇḍā scripts, standardized and used by the second Sikh guru, Guru Angad (1504–1552). It is used by Punjabi Sikhs to write the language, commonly regarded as a Sikh script, Gurmukhi is used in Punjab, India as the official script of the Punjabi language. While Shahmukhi script is used in Punjab, Pakistan as the official script. The primary scripture of Sikhism, the Guru Granth Sahib, is written in Gurmukhī, in various dialects and languages often subsumed under the generic title ''Sant Bhasha'' or ''saint language'', in addition to other languages like Persian and various phases of Indo-Aryan languages. Shahmukhi
Shahmukhi (, ) is a Persian alphabet, Perso-Arabic alphabet script used historically by Punjabi Muslims (primarily in present-day Punjab, Pakistan, Pakistani Punjab) to write the Punjabi language. It is generally written in the Nastaʿlīq Calligraphy, calligraphic hand, which is also used for Urdu. Shahmukhi script is used in Punjab, Pakistan, Pakistani Punjab as the official script for writing Punjabi language, Punjabi. Perso-Arabic is one of two scripts used for Punjabi, the other being Gurmukhi, used by Sikhs and Punjabi Hindus, Hindus in Punjab, India, Indian Punjab. Sikhs ( or ; pa, ਸਿੱਖ, ' ) are people who adhere to Sikhism (Sikhi), a monotheistic religion that originated in the late 15th century in the Punjab region of the Indian subcontinent, based on the revelation of Guru Nanak. Ramesh Singh Arora (born 11 October 1979) is a Pakistani politician and social worker. He has been a staunch advocate for Sikh rights in Pakistan. He was appointed as the Ambassador at large for the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor. He is first sikh to hold office of provincial minister of the Punjab, Pakistan. Sikhism in Pakistan has an extensive heritage and history, although Sikhs form a small community in Pakistan today. The Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (or PSGPC) ( ur, ) is a Sikh religious organisation in Pakistan. PSGPC was formed by the Government of Pakistan and is entrusted with the maintenance of Sikh religious institutions, places of worships in Pakistan. History Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) was created in 1920s by struggle of Sikhs. After 1947 partition of Punjab, all religious properties of Sikhs came under Evacuee Trust Property Board.
