Pakistan At The 2024 Summer Olympics
Pakistan competed at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris from 26 July to 11 August 2024. It was the nation's nineteenth appearance at the Summer Olympics. Javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem captured Pakistan's first Olympic medal since 1992 and first gold medal since 1984, as well as the country's first ever gold medal in an individual sport. Nadeem broke the 16-year-old Olympic record of 90.57 metres, recording a throw of 92.97 metres. Medalists Competitors The following is the list of number of competitors in the Games. In a first for Pakistan, Arshad Nadeem and the three shooters, Ghulam Mustafa Bashir, Gulfam Joseph and Kishmala Talat qualified for their respective events after reaching the qualifications marks, while the rest of the athletes, Faiqa Riaz, Muhammad Ahmed Durrani and Jehanara Nabi were given wild cards (universality places). Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) or National Olympic Committee of Pakistan (NOC) ( ur, پاکستان اولمپک ایسوسی ایشن, acronym: POA) is the national olympic organization in Pakistan. Swimming At The 2024 Summer Olympics – Women's 200 Metre Freestyle
The Swimming (sport), swimming competitions at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris are scheduled to run from 27 July to 9 August 2024. Pool events (27 July to 4 August) will occur at the Paris La Défense Arena, with the two-day marathon swimming (8 to 9 August) staged at Pont Alexandre III through the Seine River.
