captured Pakistan's first Olympic medal since 1992 and first gold medal since 1984, as well as the country's first ever gold medal in an individual sport. Nadeem broke the 16-year-old Olympic record of 90.57 metres, recording a throw of 92.97 metres.

The following is the list of number of competitors in the Games. In a first for Pakistan, Arshad Nadeem and the three shooters, Ghulam Mustafa Bashir, Gulfam Joseph and Kishmala Talat qualified for their respective events after reaching the qualifications marks, while the rest of the athletes, Faiqa Riaz, Muhammad Ahmed Durrani and Jehanara Nabi were given wild cards (universality places). This was also the most gender balanced contingent sent by Pakistan to the Olympic games.

Pakistani shooters achieved quota places for the following events based on their results at the 2022 and 2023 ISSF World Championships, 2023 and 2024 Asian Championships, and 2024 ISSF World Olympic Qualification Tournament.

Pakistan sent two swimmers to compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics. They were given wildcards.
