Pachal Waterfall
Pachal waterfall, with fall height of , is claimed to be the tallest waterfall of Nepal. The height was measured based on a GPS survey. It is located in Pachaljharna Gaupalika of Kalikot District. The site has been declared as a centre of tourism development by the Karnali Provincial government. The village municipality is named after this waterfall. Kalikot District
Kalikot District ( ne, कालीकोट जिल्ला ), a part of Karnali province, is one of the seventy-seven districts of Nepal. The district, with Manma as its district headquarters, covers an area of , had a population of 105,580 in 2001 and 136,948 in 2011. In September 2005, in a bid to encourage a change in social attitudes, the government announced that it would provide rice to any family that had recently had a girl born. Geography and Climate Demographics At the time of the 2011 Nepal census, Kalikot District had a population of 136,948. Of these, 99.5% spoke Nepali as their first language. Karnali Province ( ne, कर्णाली प्रदेश) is one of the seven federal provinces of Nepal formed by the new constitution which was adopted on 20 September 2015. The total area of the province is covering 18.97% of the country, making it the largest province in Nepal.
