''Pacha Velicham'' () is a 1985 Indian Malayalam-language film, directed and produced by M. Mani. The film stars Shankar, Madhu, Sukumari, Adoor Bhasi and Sankaradi. The film has musical score by Shyam. Synopsis Mukundan, a railway office clerk, gets transferred to a remote railway station in Madras. One night while leaving from the station, he happens to meet Nandini, his father's sister's daughter, walking towards her house. She told that she got down from the train which had just halted there and is heading towards her house. As it was quite dark, she borrows his torch and asks him to get it back from her house the next day. Quite shocked and speechless, Mukundan lends out his torch. Cheri Viswanath
Cheri Viswanath (9 August 1933 – 9 September 2014) was a South indian screenwriter, playwright, lyricist and journalist. Biography Many of his works were written under the pen name Cheri, which is derived from the name of his family Cheriyil in Kollam District in South India. He started his career as a playwright and journalist and was associated with the famous theatre group in South India called Kalanilayam. In a literary career spanning over 45 years, he had written 16 novels, 25 dramas and 19 radio plays and several lyrics for Malayalam movies. His song for the movie Thaalappoly (1977) was the biggest hit of the year. He had written screenplays for 20 feature films, directed by veteran film makers M.Krishnan Nair, Madhu, Crossbelt Mani and M.Mani. Sukumari
Sukumari Amma (6 October 1940 – 26 March 2013) was an Indian actress best known for her works in Malayalam and Tamil films. In a career spanning more than five decades, She has appeared in more than 2500 films predominantly in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, along with few Hindi and one each in Sinhala, French, Bengali, Tulu, English and Kannada films. Sukumari began acting at the age of 10. In 2003, she was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India for her contributions toward the arts. She won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the Tamil film ''Namma Gramam'' (2010). Sukumari died on 26 March 2013 in Chennai, following a heart attack. Bhagyalakshmi (born 1 November 1962) is an Indian dubbing artist, actress and activist. She works primarily in Malayalam Film Industry and has dubbed for more than 4000 films in Malayalam cinema, most notably for actresses Shobana and Urvashi. Samuel Joseph (born 1937), better known as Shyam, is a music composer who works in Malayalam cinema. From the mid-1970s to the late 1980s, Shyam had a prolific run as a composer in the Malayalam film industry, composing for nearly 200 films. Working with all major directors of the time, Shyam had scored for many hits of Jayan and the early films of Mammootty and Mohanlal. Career beginnings Shyam apprenticed under maestros M. S.
