Paca La Piraña
Francisca Aracil Cáceres (born June 1, 1962), professionally known as Paca la Piraña is a Spanish actress and Vedette (cabaret), vedette. She identifies as a transsexual woman. Career La Piraña's began her career in the 1980s, when she performed in nightclubs while imitating musical acts. In the 1990s, she moved to Elda, Valencian Community, for work, where she dedicated herself to cross-dressing. Later, she became more widely known in Spain after her introduction on television as the friend of La Veneno, a fellow Spanish actress and performer. In 2020, she returned to the public eye by appearing as herself in ''Veneno (TV series), Veneno'', a TV series aired on Atresmedia about the life of La Veneno. In 2023, a third part of ''Veneno'' was announced, called ''Piraña'', that would focus on her life. Vedette (cabaret)
A vedette is the main female artist of a show derived from cabaret and its subcategories of revue, vaudeville, music hall or burlesque. The purpose of the vedette is to entertain and captivate the public. The vedette has to know how to sing, dance and act on stage. Particularly accomplished artistes are considered ''super vedettes'' or ''first vedettes''. Vedettes often appear alongside groups of dancers, flashy and revealing costumes, magicians, comedians, jugglers, or even performing animals. Vedettes specializing in burlesque generally do striptease and may also perform nude on stage. In the 20th century, vedette shows were successful in the cabarets, theaters and nightclubs of countries such as Spain, France, Argentina and Mexico.
