Pablo Herrán
Pablo Herrán de Viu is a Spanish writer. He was born in Mallorca in 1986. He studied filmmaking in New York, where he also founded the Screen Loud Film Festival. He has since returned to Madrid, where he writes for Vice and Shangaya among others. An accomplished poet, Herran won the Els Jocs Florals prize for Catalan poetry three years in a row, and he was also named Mestre en Gai Saber. His first novel ''Manuel Bergman'' appeared in 2018. A second novel ''Mientras pudimos'' followed in 2020. Mallorca
Mallorca, or Majorca, is the largest island in the Balearic Islands, which are part of Spain and located in the Mediterranean. Catalan Poetry
Catalan literature is the name conventionally used to refer to literature written in the Catalan language. The focus of this article is not just the literature of Catalonia, but literature written in Catalan from anywhere, so that it includes writers from Andorra, the Valencian Community, Balearic Islands and other territories where any Catalan variant is spoken. The Catalan literary tradition is extensive, starting in the early Middle Ages. A Romantic revivalist movement of the 19th century, Renaixença, classified Catalan literature in periods. Weegee
Arthur (Usher) Fellig (June 12, 1899 – December 26, 1968), known by his pseudonym Weegee, was a photography, photographer and photojournalism, photojournalist, known for his stark black and white street photography in New York City. Weegee worked in Manhattan's Lower East Side as a press photographer during the 1930s and 1940s and developed his signature style by following the city's emergency services and documenting their activity. Much of his work depicted unflinchingly realistic scenes of urban life, crime, injury and death. Weegee published photographic books and also worked in cinema, initially making his own short films and later collaborating with film directors such as Jack Donohue (director), Jack Donohue and Stanley Kubrick. 10 de 30 is a literary project conducted by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), with the goal of identifying and promoting the best young writers in Spain. Ten writers are chosen in each edition of "10 de 30", all between the ages of 30 and 40. The project began in 2019, and an anthology featuring the works of the ten selected authors was published, in both Spanish and English.
