The PSLV-C51 is the 53rd mission of the Indian Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) program. The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV)-C51 was launched at 04:54 (UTC) / 10:24 (IST) on 28 February 2021 with the main payload from Brazil, INPE's Amazônia-1 and 18 other ride-sharing small satellites. This is the first dedicated commercial launch executed by NSIL. Details The PSLV-C51 was launched from the First Launch Pad of the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh,India. The PSLV C51 rocket carried primary payload, Amazônia-1 and 18 secondary payloads like SDSat and three UnitySats(JITsat, GHRCEsat, Sri Shakthi Sat) etc. It was the third flight of PSLV-DL, having 2 strap-on boosters and placed the payloads in sun-synchronous orbits. The Amazônia-1 or SSR-1 (in Portuguese: ''Satélite de Sensoriamento Remoto-1''), is the first Earth observation satellite developed by Brazil, helped by Argentina's INVAP, who provided the main computer, attitude controls and sensors, and the training of Brazilian engineers, and launched at 04:54:00 UTC (10:24:00 IST) on 28 February 2021. Pixxel is a India based private space technology company, aiming to put a constellation of 30+ hyperspectral earth observation micro-satellites into a sun-synchronous orbit in 2020s. It was founded by Awais Ahmed and Kshitij Khandelwal while still studying at BITS Pilani in 2019. Pixxel was also Asia's only space startup to qualify for the 2019 Techstars Starburst Space Accelerator in Los Angeles.
