FC Rakovski 2001 is a Bulgarian football club based in Rakovski, Plovdiv Province, currently playing in the A RFG (Plovdiv), fourth tier of Bulgarian football. Rakovski managed to play three seasons in the second tier of Bulgarian football. In their first season in the second level, 2012–13, the team barely missed out on promotion to the A Group. Rakovski ( bg, Раковски ) is a town in southern Bulgaria, in the historical region of Thrace. It is located in the Plovdiv Province. The town is also the centre of the Rakovski Municipality. Rakovski was founded in 1966 with the merging of three villages — General Nikolaevo, Sekirovo and Parchevich. The new town was named after the prominent Bulgarian revolutionary Georgi Sava Rakovski. The Bulgarian Regional Amateur Football Groups ( bg, Областни Аматьорски Футболни Групи, Oblastin Amat'orski Futbolni Grupi) are the 4th and 5th level of the Bulgarian football league system. There are 41 groups called A Regional Football Groups and 19 B Regional Football Groups. Teams from B RFG are promoted to A RFG and A RFG teams are promoted to Third Amateur Football League (Bulgaria), Third League. The 2016–17 Third Amateur Football League season was the 67th season of the Bulgarian Third Amateur Football League. The league is equivalent to the third level of the Bulgarian football pyramid, with a total of four divisions within it. 2012–13 B Group
The 2012–13 B Group was the 58th season of the Bulgarian B Football Group, the second tier of the Bulgarian football league system. It started on 19 August 2012 and finished in May 2013. On 15 June the Executive Committee of Bulgarian Football Union decided to reduce further the number of teams due licensing problems in most of the clubs and reuniting the teams into one league. The new format will consist of 14 teams, playing twice against each other, once home and once away. A group of 16 teams was intended at first, but two teams decided to drop off the competition before the start of the season. In contrast to the previous season, there was be no 'promotion play-off', a decision made by the BFU to reduce the number of teams at A PFG. FC Lyubimets ( bg, ФК Любимец) is a Bulgarian football club based in Lyubimets. The team was founded in 1921 and re-founded in 2007. They currently compete in the Bulgarian fourth tier, the Regional Football League of Haskovo. The club’s biggest achievement came in 2013, when Lyubimets managed to promote to the A Group for the first time in club history for the 2013–14 season.
