PBA Fiesta Conference
The PBA Fiesta Conference was a former tournament held during a Philippine Basketball Association season. Each PBA team was allowed to hire a single foreign player, with maximum height limitations set by the league, to play for the said tournament. History Prior to the formation of the said conference, the league had two import-laced conferences known as the PBA Commissioner's Cup (with an import height-limit of ), and the PBA Governor's Cup (with an import height-limit of ). However, in 2003, the two conferences were scrapped and was replaced with an Invitational tournament, with an All-Filipino local squad along with foreign teams) and an import-laced PBA Reinforced Conference, Reinforced Conference. The 2004 PBA Fiesta Conference, or known as the 2004 Gran Matador Brandy-PBA Fiesta Conference for sponsor (commercial), sponsorship reasons, was tournament held by the Philippine Basketball Association and the first ever edition of the PBA Fiesta Conference. Lordy Tugade
Lordy Tugade (born December 30, 1977 in Alaminos, Pangasinan) is a Filipino retired professional basketball player. The 2005–06 PBA season was the 31st season of the Philippine Basketball Association. It began on October 2, 2005 and ended on July 21, 2006. The season had two conferences played, the import-laiden 2005–06 San Mig Coffee Fiesta Conference and the season-ending 2006 Gran Matador Brandy Philippine Cup. 2005 PBA Fiesta Conference
The 2005 PBA Fiesta Conference was the 2004-05 season's PBA Fiesta Conference of the Philippine Basketball Association. It was the second-staging of the Fiesta Conference. The Shell Turbo Chargers won third place over Red Bull Barako in a one-game playoff. It was the last appearance of the Turbo Chargers in the league as it filed a leave of absence in August 2005, eventually selling their rights to Welcoat. The league finally allowed Asi Taulava to play in the finals series (who was indefinitely suspended) but still lost to the veteran-laided Beermen. Talk N' Text's Willie Miller was named the Best Player of the Conference while teammate Jerald Honeycutt won the Best Import plum. Danny Ildefonso
Danilo Ildefonso (born December 9, 1976) is a Filipino former professional basketball player. He is currently an assistant coach for both the Converge FiberXers of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) and the NU Bulldogs of the UAAP. Nicknamed "Danny I", "The Demolition Man" and "Lakáy", Ildefonso is a two-time PBA Most Valuable Player in 2000 and 2001 and is one of the four players to win the said award on back-to-back seasons, along with Bogs Adornado, Alvin Patrimonio, and June Mar Fajardo. He also one of the few PBA players to have won all three major MVP awards in the league: regular season, finals, and all-star game MVP.
