General Electric Genesis (officially trademarked GENESIS) is a series of passenger diesel locomotives produced by GE Transportation, then a subsidiary of General Electric. The Boeing P-29 and XF7B-1 were an attempt to produce a more advanced version of the highly successful P-26. Design and development The Boeing YP-29 originated as the Model 264, developed as a private venture under a bailment contract negotiated with the U.S. Army.
