Prasana Kumar (abbreviated P K) Roy Memorial College, Dhanbad is a constituent college of Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University in Dhanbad, in the Indian state of Jharkhand. It offers courses of Intermediate, Under-Graduate and Post Graduate level in various subjects. History The college was founded by Sh. B. N. Roy oThe Roy Villa Katrasgarh together with his brothers in the name of their father, Late Sh. Prasanna Kumar Roy (popularly known by the name, P. K. Roy). It was founded to realise P. K. Roy's philanthropic aim of building a modern India through higher education and entrepreneurship. Binod Bihari Mahato (23 September 1923 – 18 December 1991) was an advocate and politician. He established Shivaji Samaj, a social reform organisation among the Kudumi Mahato people. He was the founder of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, established in 1972. He was a leader of the movement for the establishment of the separate state of Jharkhand. He was a member of Bihar Vidhan Sabha three times, in 1980, 1985 and 1990, and a member of the Lok Sabha from Giridih in 1991. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha ( lit. ''Jharkhand Liberation Front''; JMM) is a State political party in the Indian state of Jharkhand which was founded by Binod Bihari Mahato.
