Owen Ridge
Owen Ridge () is a very high and rugged mountain ridge, 22 nautical miles (41 km) long, which forms the southwesternmost element of the Sentinel Range, Ellsworth Mountains. It extends south-southeast from Karnare Col and includes Mount Strybing (3,200 m), Mount Southwick and Lishness Peak, ending up in Bowers Corner. Mapped by United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy aerial photography, 1957–60. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) (1974) for Thomas B. Sirma Glacier
Sirma Glacier ( bg, ледник Сирма, lednik Sirma, ) is the long and wide glacier on the west side of Owen Ridge in southern Sentinel Range, Ellsworth Mountains in Antarctica, situated south of Bolgrad Glacier, and flowing west-southwestwards from Mount Southwick, Mount Milton and Mount Inderbitzen to leave the range and join Nimitz Glacier northwest of Modren Peak. The glacier is named after the Bulgarian woman rebel leader Sirma Voyvoda (1773-1858). Location Sirma Glacier is centred at . US mapping in 1961, updated in 1988. Mount Inderbitzen
Mount Inderbitzen () is a mountain rising to over , located south-southeast of Mount Craddock and south of Mount Milton in Owen Ridge, the southernmost part of the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains in Antarctica. It surmounts Wessbecher Glacier to the southeast and Sirma Glacier to the northwest. The mountain was first mapped by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy aerial photographs from 1957 to 1959. It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names in 1994 after Anton L. Inderbitzen, who was Associate Chief Scientist in the Division of Polar Programs at the National Science Foundation (NSF) between 1983–86 and was head of the Antarctic Staff at the NSF between 1986 and 1991. From 1991 he was the Deputy Assistant Director for Research at the USGS. Mount Allen (Ellsworth Mountains)
Mount Allen () is a mountain (3,430 m) located 5.2 mi southeast of Mount Craddock in Owen Ridge, the southernmost portion of the main ridge of Sentinel Range, Ellsworth Mountains in Antarctica. The peak surmounts Saltzman Glacier to the north, Kornicker Glacier to the southeast, Bolgrad Glacier to the southwest and Brook Glacier to the west. It was mapped by the USGS from surveys and USN air photos in 1957–59. It was named by the US-ACAN for Lt. Forrest M. Allen, USNR, the co-pilot on reconnaissance flights from Byrd Station, 1957–58. Krusha Peak ( bg, връх Круша, vrah Krusha, ) is the peak rising to 2800 m in Owen Ridge, southern Sentinel Range in Ellsworth Mountains, Antarctica, surmounting Bolgrad Glacier to the southeast and Brook Glacier to the northwest. The peak is named after the Bulgarian educator Zahariy Krusha (1808-1881). Brook Glacier () is a glacier that flows westward between Mount Strybing, Mount Allen and Krusha Peak on the west side of Owen Ridge in southern Sentinel Range, Ellsworth Mountains in Antarctica, and joins Bender Glacier east of Chaplin Peak. It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (2006) after Edward J. Brook, Professor of Geosciences, Oregon State University; U.S. Antarctic Project investigator of Antarctic paleoclimate in numerous field seasons from 1988; Chair, U.S. National Ice Core Working Group for use of Antarctic ice cores for research purposes, 2004–05. Bolgrad Glacier
Bolgrad Glacier ( bg, ледник Болград, lednik Bolgrad, ) is the 7.4 km long and 5.7 km wide glacier on the west side of Owen Ridge in southern Sentinel Range in Ellsworth Mountains, Antarctica, situated south of Brook Glacier and north of Sirma Glacier. It drains west-southwestwards from Mount Allen, Mount Liptak and Mount Southwick, and flows south of Krusha Peak to leave the range and join Bender Glacier east of Gilbert Spur. The glacier is named after the Bulgarian High School of Bolgrad, a major Bulgarian education centre in Ukraine established in 1858. Location Bolgrad Glacier is centred at .
