Buca (, ) is a district of İzmir Province, Turkey. It is one of the main urban districts of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality. History Buca was one of the preferred settlement areas of İzmir's community of Levantines. The great mansions they built in the 19th century stand to this day, most of them restored. Menemen is a district of İzmir Province in Turkey and its central town. The district extends on a fertile plain formed by the alluvial soil carried by the Gediz River. Bornova is a metropolitan district of İzmir in İzmir Province in Turkey. Söke is a town and the largest district of Aydın Province in the Aegean region of western Turkey, 54 km (34 miles) south-west of the city of Aydın, near the Aegean coast. 75th Anniversary Selatin Tunnel
75th Anniversary Selatin Tunnel ( tr, 75. Yıl Selatin Tüneli), is a road tunnel constructed on the motorway / at the province border of Izmir and Aydın, western Turkey. It is situated northwest of Aydın and southeast of Izmir, between the junctions Belevi and Germencik. With its length of , it was the country's longest tunnel when opened on 20 April 2000. Starting on 1 April 1990, its construction was carried out by the joint venture Kutlutaş and Dillingham in New Austrian Tunnelling method (NATM). The cost of the tunnel totalled to US$121 million. The tunnel was initially named after its location in Selatin village of Germencik district. Following its completion, it was renamed in memory of the 75th anniversary of the foundation of the Turkish Republic (1923).
