Otomar Hájek
Otomar Hájek (December 31, 1930 - December 18, 2016) was a Czech-American mathematician, known for his contributions to dynamical systems, game theory and control theory. He was born in Belgrade in Serbia, moving with his family to Prague in 1935, to the Netherlands in 1939 and via Algerie and southern France to London in 1940 where they lived until 1945 when they returned to Prague. After high school in 1949 he studied mathematics at Charles University in Prague, resulting in a Ph.D. in 1963 on a thesis entitled ''Dynamical systems in the plane''. Otomar Krejča (23 November 1921 – 6 November 2009) was a Czech theatre director and dissident. Krejča was born in Skrýšov (now part of Pelhřimov), Czechoslovakia, on 23 November 1921. In 1956, he became a member of the Prague National Theater as an actor, and later a theater director at the landmark theater, which had opened in Prague in 1881. He co-founded the Za Branou Theater (''Divadlo za branou'': 'Theatre Behind the Gate') in Prague in 1965. Krejča and his work was banned following the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968, which ended a period of political liberalization known as the Prague Spring. The new Czechoslovakian government would not allow Krejča to work in the country; he was only allowed to work abroad. Otomar Kvěch
Otomar Kvěch (25 May 1950 – 16 March 2018) was a Czech music composer and teacher. Biography Kvěch was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia. His father was a sound engineer with Czechoslovak Radio, and later held technical jobs in various industrial companies. Kvěch's mother was shop-assistant. In 1955 he had his first lessons in piano. He prepared for three years for his entry exam to the Prague Conservatory, and graduated after studying composition with Jan Zdeněk Bartoš and organ with Joseph Kuban. After 1969 he studied composition at the Prague Academy of Performing Arts with Jiří Pauer and one semester with Emil Hlobil. After graduation he worked as an accompanist at the Opera National Theatre. In 1972 he married Miluška Wagnerová, a fellow-student from his organ class, and had daughters Eva (b. 1974) and Martina (b. 1977). Otomar Kubala
Otomar Kubala (1906–1946) was a Slovak fascist who served as the commander of the Hlinka Guard during the Slovak National Uprising. After the war, he was tried for treason, convicted, and executed. Life and Career Kubala studied at a teacher institution in Modra from 1920 to 1924 and then worked as a teacher and principal for 10 years.Kubala joined the Hlinka Guard in November 1938, and was later the local commander in 1939. He was already publishing articles with fascist ideals in the Gardista newspaper in the 1930s and in 1941 became the editor-in-chief of the Gardista newspaper. Death Due to the Red Army's gradual advance on Slovakia, Kubala organized a retreat of remaining Slovak units and withdrew to southern Bohemia, where he surrendered to American forces at Strakonice.
