Oto Pestner
Oto Pestner (born January 4, 1956 in Celje) is a politician and one of the most prominent singers and composers of popular music from Slovenia. Until 2008, he was the leader of the Slovene vocal group New Swing Quartet. From 1986 to 1991 and in 1995, he was member of '' Alpski kvintet'' (German: ''Alpenoberkrainer''). Pestner has performed with artists including Golden Gate Quartet, Bobby McFerrin, Mercer Ellington, Dexter Gordon, New York Voices, Sheila Raye Charles, The Brown Sisters, Ladies of Song, B.B. King, Acappella, Ridgewood Baptist Choir, Perpetuum Jazzile, Divas, Oliver Dragojević, The Eugster Brothers and others. Perpetuum Jazzile
Perpetuum Jazzile is a Slovenian musical group best known for an a cappella version of Toto rock band's song Africa. The May 2009 video showing a live performance of this version has received close to 22 million views on YouTube. The group was founded in as Gaudeamus Chamber Choir and has always featured male and female singers. In 2013, there were 41 performers of whom 24 are female and 17 male. The group occasionally performs with the Slovenian Radio and Television Big Band though most performances are a cappella. Leadership The group was founded by Marko Tiran who led the Gaudeamus Choir for over 17 years. In 2001, the choir's art leadership was passed to Tomaž Kozlevčar. Concretely ( sl, Konkretno) is a liberal political party in Slovenia led by former Minister of Economical Development and Techonolgy Zdravko Počivalšek. Founding congress took place on 4 December 2021 in Celje. Concretly is a result of a merger between the Modern Centre Party (SMC) and Economic Activity Party (). It is a member of Let's Connect Slovenia alliance. History At Počivalšek's takeover on the lead of the political party in 2019 he announced consolidation of SMC party. On SMC congress on 16 September Počivalšek announced a fusion with GAS, which was led by the president of the National Council of Slovenia, Alojz Kovšca. The National Assembly ( sl, Državni zbor Republike Slovenije, or ), is the representative democracy, general representative body of Slovenia. According to the Constitution of Slovenia and the Constitutional Court of Slovenia, it is the major part of the distinctively incompletely bicameral Slovenian Parliament, the legislative branch of the Republic of Slovenia. Oliver Dragojević
Oliver Dragojević (; 7 December 1947 – 29 July 2018) was a Croatian singer and composer, who was considered one of the most enduring musical stars and cultural icons in Croatia with a discography that spanned nearly five decades. His style blended traditional klapa melodies of Dalmatia, a coastal region in his native Croatia, with jazz motifs wrapped up in a modern production. For his influential musical career, he reached critical and commercial acclaim in Croatia and neighbouring countries, and numerous accolades, including numerous Porin and Indexi awards.
