Oswaldo Mairena
Oswaldo Antonio Mairena (born July 30, 1975 in Chinandega, Nicaragua) is a former Major League Baseball relief pitcher for the Chicago Cubs and Florida Marlins. Biography Mairena represented Nicaragua at the 1995 Pan American Games and the 1996 Summer Olympics. Immediately after his performance in the Olympics, he was signed by the New York Yankees as an amateur free agent. He began pitching in the Yankees organization in 1997 with the Greensboro Bats. He was promoted in 1998 to the Tampa Yankees, and promoted again to the Norwich Navigators in 1999, where he finished the season with a 4–3 win–loss record and a 2.67 earned run average (ERA) in 43 games. He spent the first half of 2000 with Norwich until July 21, when he was traded with Ben Ford to the Chicago Cubs for Glenallen Hill. Albuquerque Isotopes
The Albuquerque Isotopes are a Minor League Baseball team of the Pacific Coast League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. They play home games at Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at an elevation of above sea level. In 2003, the Calgary Cannons moved from Alberta to Albuquerque and became the Isotopes playing in the Pacific Coast League. The team was affiliated with the Florida Marlins until 2008 and the Dodgers from 2009 to 2014. Portland Sea Dogs
The Portland Sea Dogs are a Minor League Baseball team based in Portland, Maine, playing in the Eastern League (1938–present), Eastern League. Established in 1994, the Sea Dogs are the Double-A (baseball), Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. The Sea Dogs became part of the Red Sox system for the 2003 season; previously they were affiliated with the Florida Marlins. Calgary Cannons
The Calgary Cannons were a minor league baseball team located in Calgary, Alberta, for 18 seasons, from 1985 until 2002. They were a member of the AAA Pacific Coast League (PCL) and played at Foothills Stadium. The Cannons displaced the Calgary Expos, who played in the rookie level Pioneer League from 1977 until 1984. The team was previously known as the Salt Lake City Gulls before being relocated to Calgary. Following the 2002 season, the team moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where they became the Isotopes. Manuel Antonio Aybar (born May 4, 1972) is a retired pitcher who has played in Major League Baseball and Korea Baseball Organization. He bats and throws right-handed. Aybar began his professional career in as a shortstop in the St. Louis Cardinals organization, but switched to pitching in .
