Oregon Schools Activities Association
The Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) is a non-profit, board-governed organization that regulates high school athletics and competitive activities via athletic conferences in the U.S. state of Oregon, providing equitable competition among its members, both public and private. The OSAA is based in Wilsonville. History Originally created in 1918 as the "Oregon State High School Athletic Association", the name changed to the "Oregon School Activities Association", or OSAA, in 1947. Currently, the OSAA sponsors seventy-four state championships in nineteen interscholastic activities including athletics, music, and forensics and is a member of the National Federation of State High School Associations. Starting in the 2006–07 school year, the organization's four school classifications (1A, 2A, 3A, 4A) were divided into six classifications (6A, 5A, 4A, 3A, 2A, 1A). Newberg High School is the only public high school in Newberg, Oregon, United States. History The current campus is Newberg High School's third location. The first campus (1911-36) The original high school, a three-story building that opened in 1911, is located at 714 E. Sixth Street. It was there that the school's newspaper, ''Echoes'', got its name; the students marveled at how even the slightest sound reverberated through the new building's hallways. The Newberg School District currently uses the building as the district offices. McMinnville High School
McMinnville High School is a public high school located in McMinnville, Oregon, United States. History Prior to 1876, high school students in the McMinnville area attended school at McMinnville College. From 1876 to 1910, McMinnville offered a two-year high school education through the Cook School (a single schoolhouse incorporating all grades). High school students took courses on the top floor of the building. The current four-year high school program was adopted in fall 1910 with the opening of McMinnville High School. Mountainside High School is one of six comprehensive high schools in Beaverton, Oregon. It opened in September 2017 with students in grades 9 and 10.
