McMinnville High School
McMinnville High School is a public high school located in McMinnville, Oregon, United States. History Prior to 1876, high school students in the McMinnville area attended school at McMinnville College. From 1876 to 1910, McMinnville offered a two-year high school education through the Cook School (a single schoolhouse incorporating all grades). High school students took courses on the top floor of the building. The current four-year high school program was adopted in fall 1910 with the opening of McMinnville High School. It is to this school that the current McMinnville High School traces its lineage. The oldest wing of the current high school opened in 1956, and has since been remodeled eleven times to accommodate the growing student population of McMinnville, Oregon.The latest renovation was completed Fall 2019. The Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) is a non-profit, board-governed organization that regulates high school athletics and competitive activities via athletic conferences in the U.S. state of Oregon, providing equitable competition among its members, both public and private. Raemer Schreiber
Raemer Edgar Schreiber (November 11, 1910 – December 24, 1998) was an American physicist from McMinnville, Oregon who served Los Alamos National Laboratory during World War II, participating in the development of the atomic bomb. He saw the first one detonated in the Trinity nuclear test in July 1945, and prepared the Fat Man bomb that was used in the bombing of Nagasaki. After the war, he served at Los Alamos as a group leader, and was involved in the design of the hydrogen bomb. In 1955, he became the head of its Nuclear Rocket Propulsion (N) Division, which developed the first nuclear-powered rockets. He served as deputy director of the laboratory from 1972 until his retirement in 1974. Joseph Michael Paterson (born May 19, 1986) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Arizona Diamondbacks. College career and minor leagues After graduating from McMinnville High School in McMinnville, OR, Paterson started his college career at Linfield College in 2005 and then transferred to Oregon State for his sophomore and junior seasons. Grant Robison
Grant Robison (born September 27, 1978) is a retired track athlete, who competed in the middle distance running events. He represented the United States at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Robison won the bronze medal in the men's 1,500 metres at the 2003 Pan American Games. During college he ran for Stanford University. Running career High school Robison attended and ran at McMinnville High School, where he graduated in 1996. He left McMinnville as the all-time school record-holder for the 1500 metres and 3000 metres disciplines, having personal bests of 3:56.06 and 8:32.79, respectively. Kenneth Ehren McGhehey Jr. (born November 29, 1976), also known as Danger Ehren, is an American stunt performer, actor and former professional snowboarder. He is best known as one of the cast members of the reality stunt franchise '' Jackass''. Early life McGhehey was born and raised in McMinnville, Oregon to father Kenneth and mother Linda. Charlie Sitton
Charles E. Sitton (born July 3, 1962) is an American retired basketball player. He played one season in the National Basketball Association (NBA) with the Dallas Mavericks, who selected him in the second round of the 1984 NBA draft. He went on to play in Europe. Sitton played college basketball for the Oregon State Beavers. He was a three-time all-conference selection in the Pacific-10 (now known as the Pac-12) and was an All-American as a senior.
